Its facilities include a Balwadi- a preschool centre, study classes for primary learners, library and a facilitation centre to promote the artistic talents of children, counselling and health care services for young learners and their mothers.
Confined to an enclosed space and exposed to traffic and street life, Bal Anand endeavours to bring creativity and beauty into the lives of the children and build support systems for their overburdened mothers.
At present nearly 150 children receive academic help, medical care, nutritious food, training in yoga and in various extra curricular activities. Children are taken on excursions to various places. Children from first to seventh standard come to Bal Anand in two batches from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and from 12:30 2:30 p.m. before/after going to their regular school.
